ABOUT KIMBERLY NETTLES

I’m a PharmD and healthcare strategist with more than 15 years of experience leading across the full spectrum of the health system, from medical operations and federal regulatory oversight to external partnerships and cross-sector health innovation.I started my career on the frontlines of care, serving in dual roles as Pharmacy Director and Acting Medical Director within the Indian Health Service. There, I was responsible for overseeing medication safety, clinical workflows, and life-critical interventions in rural and resource-constrained settings. That experience shaped my operational mindset—one grounded in execution, precision, and the ability to deliver results in high-stakes environments.I went on to serve at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, where I evaluated therapeutic pipelines, regulatory compliance, and risk-benefit decisions that affected national drug safety and access. That foundation in science and policy gave me a strategic lens I’ve carried into the private sector.Today, I serve as Director of External Affairs at Genentech, where I lead the company’s strategic partnerships across high-priority geographies. I manage portfolios focused on unlocking long-term value through community-driven innovation.I bring a rare combination of scientific credibility, public-sector experience, and corporate execution to every initiative I lead.
