I represent professional liability insurers in connection with major corporate scandals, significant financial disruptions, and corporate bankruptcies, including civil litigation, arbitration proceedings, and governmental investigations involving public and private companies and their directors and officers, large financial institutions, investment companies and advisers, mutual and hedge funds, rating agencies, law firms and other professionals. My practice includes claims involving securities, derivative, Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), bankruptcy, and employment litigation as well as federal and state regulatory or administrative investigations or proceedings. I frequently represent insurers in the mediation of large, complex claims and the negotiation of sophisticated settlements. In addition to professional liability insurance, I have a particular focus on the intersection of insurance and bankruptcy law and fiduciary liability issues.
