ABOUT KIMBERLY LONG

I’m a higher education executive and full professor (PhD, Industrial/Organizational Psychology) with 20 years of experience leading institutions through accreditation, strategic planning, and complex operational change.I currently serve as Interim President at Kansas Health Science University/Kansas College of Osteopathic Medicine. Across my career, I’ve held senior roles including Provost, Dean, and Chief Administrative Officer, focusing on strengthening academic quality, institutional credibility, and student success.My leadership portfolio spans academic affairs and program oversight; regional and specialized accreditation; compliance and regulatory readiness; institutional effectiveness and data governance; enterprise IT and system implementations; research infrastructure (including IRB and sponsored programs); and core administrative operations including HR, facilities, and risk management. I’ve authored and coordinated accreditation self-studies, served as an Accreditation Liaison Officer, and contributed as an HLC peer reviewer and Team Chair.I am comitted to connecting strategy to execution, strengthening trust during transition, and building cross-functional teams that deliver results.
