About Kimberly Jones

I am co-leader of Faegre Drinker\'s ERISA litigation team, and a member of the firm\'s benefits and executive compensation practice group. I represent plan sponsors, plans, fiduciaries, and third party administrators in a variety of ERISA litigation throughout the country, including: benefit claim denials involving disability, life, health, retiree medical, pension, and severance claims, breach of fiduciary duty claims, and ERISA Section 510 claims. I have defended plan fiduciaries in fiduciary breach claims alleging failure to monitor and investigate service providers and prohibited transactions. I have also defended several large companies in class actions and individual claims alleging an improper reduction or denial of retiree health benefits. In addition to litigation work, I provide counseling to clients on benefit claim administration, COBRA compliance, fiduciary governance, and benefit plan design. I am a co-editor to the treatise, Employee Benefits Law (BNA Books), and co-author of The Handbook on ERISA Litigation (4th ed. Wolters Kluwer). I am also a Co-Chair of the Benefits Sub-Committee of the ABA Employee Benefits Committee, and Vice Chair of the Disability Sub-Committee of DRI\'s Life Health and Disability Committee. I regularly speak on ERISA topics at national conferences, including the ABA Employee Benefits Committee Mid-Winter Meeting, ABA ERISA Basics, ACI\'s ERISA Litigation National Forum, and the ABA Annual Labor and Employment Law Conference.
