   As a fellow parent as well as professional I understand there is no greater joy than seeing your child happy and healthy.I also know there is no greater heartache than seeing your child suffer due issues such as Poor self-esteem, bullying, academic struggles, and than the added complication of having any form of disability. I have been in this field for over 25 years. One of the reasons I started my own practice was because I saw the need for compassionate educational psychological therapy for students who were falling through the cracks academically impacting them emotionally. Issues of disability with or without emotional concerns impact a not only the person\'s life but their family members as well.In addition, their social, vocational and/ or education/academic life is often impacted. My personal philosophy is that everyone is capable of change, and when one aspect of life is improved the rest of one\'s life follows. There are many times we will go through life and get stuck believing that this is just the way it has to be. We are all unique and complex people. Therefore each therapy is tailored for each individual person. Because of my background in education and psychology I have found great success working with students who are struggling emotionally as well as academically. There is no greater joy than seeing a child become more confident both emotionally as well as academically. When I meet most parents their first comment is \"I just want my child to be happy\". We cannot guarantee life will always be happy, but we can tackle the obstacles in the path to help create a healthy, happy and positive foundation in which to build our lives upon.
