Provide vision and leadership for evaluating, implementing and auditing security solutions to assure protection and compliance of Ginnie Mae’s $2.5 trillion portfolio.Justified budget increases to expand existing team by 40% and mitigate identified program gaps. Elevated and matured the overall cybersecurity readiness to enable business resilience. Created strategic initiatives, advised and guided senior leaders on enterprise risk management, and facilitated a threat-informed community by educating internal staff and coordinating with external Financial Sector partners. Acting CISO for 12+ months Prepared and delivered the first Executive level Cyber Continuity of Operations (COOP) Exercise to elevate shared understanding of Cyber threats, risks to the Agency and responsibilities to the financial investors. Event successfully resulted in top-level prioritization for all things “cybersecurity”. Established the first Cyber Incident reporting standards/requirements for the Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS) Financial Program Participants (Issuers, Document custodians, mission partners) to align with regulatory requirements; enabling readiness to avoid potential business disruption.
