ABOUT KIMBERLY BOATENG
In a world where everyone wants to be heard, listening is an act of leadership.I\'ve spent the last many years like many teenagers have, being a student. While being a student can largely end up seeming like a thing we must do for our beginning stages of life, to me being a student never ends and I never want to end. Learning is everything to me, whether it be as large as learning how to best speak on an equity issue as a student representative on a school board or as simple as learning how to diffuse a conflict among friends, we never stop learning. This love of learning has drawn me to pursue many opportunities that I\'ve been lucky to be a part of like serving as the student member of the FCPS School Board, being a Johns Hopkins Center Talented Youth Scholar, a Questbridge College Prep Scholar and finally being a student at Columbia University.In my free time, you can probably find me listening to music, writing angsty poetry, and watching my favorite Netflix shows (everyone should watch Dark by the way).
