As Director of Governance & Comms within Meta’s Modern Finance organization, I lead a newly reorganized team focused on enabling Meta’s Finance transformation and aspirations. My role is pivotal in driving strategic alignment, effective governance, and transparent communication across Finance and Accounting, acting as a bridge between team leads, Enterprise Product, and executive leadership.Key responsibilities include- Governance & Portfolio Management: Oversee project portfolio management and the overall prioritization process for Finance, ensuring resources are allocated to the most impactful programs and projects. Develop and implement methodologies and frameworks to drive consistency, transparency, and effective controls across cluster teams, including controls and governance for AI initiatives within Finance- Strategic Integration & Alignment: Consolidate visions, roadmaps, and plans from various teams into an integrated Finance roadmap. Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to create and maintain an integrated technology strategy supporting Meta’s Finance vision- Communication & Transparency: Provide regular executive and leadership communication on progress towards strategic goals, consolidating updates across teams. Deliver clear, consolidated roadmap communications to Finance leadership and the broader team- Framework & Business Case Support: Develop and maintain project prioritization frameworks, business case templates, and governance processes. Support functional teams in developing high-quality, consistent business cases for prioritized projects- Stakeholder Alignment: Foster transparent communication and alignment across CFO, CAO, Enterprise Product, and other key stakeholders regarding project priorities, resource allocation, and recommended frameworks.
