Track and provide up to 6 years of additional academic and socio-emotional support to high school students transitioning into higher education and provide continued support during their post-secondary journey until graduation through 1:1 advising, campus visits, zoom counseling, and phone calls•Oversee retention efforts for 360+ Alumni enrolled in 4-year institutions, 2-year colleges, and vocational schools•Collaborate and communicate with high school personnel to strengthen, further develop, and implement a strategic plan to ensure all Alumni are prepared for the admission process, preparation, college application, matriculation, and graduation•Provide consistent student outreach and college advising in the form of customized support, creation of educational plans, referrals and resources to insure Alumni college persistence, retention and success•Develop and maintain professional relationships with universities, partnering organizations, student equity programs and other agencies to provide additional support and services to alumni such as tutoring, internships, mentorships, summer programs, scholarships, career development and social-emotional support •Support 100+ community college students with their educational plan, transfer application process, major selection, and connecting them to on campus resources with the goal for them to obtain an Associate Degree or transfer to a 4-year University within 3 years •Provide guidance and support to students and family members with the financial aid applications FAFSA and the California Dream Act Application as well as support them understand their financial aid award letter and create a financial plan to be able to access grants, scholarships, and a low amount of student loans
