I am a second grade classroom teacher in a city that is filled with children who have very diverse needs. We have children from all different parts of the world, many where English is not their first language. We have children with special needs who are in the classroom with all others, using the inclusion model. Our elementary school is one of the larger ones in the district, and we service children from kindergarten through grade five. Our kindergarten program is full day.Our motto is based on one solid life skill: RESPECT.\"Respect for you, respect for me, respect for everything you see.\" This motto can be seen demonstrated by every student, in every area of our school. It is something that I hope they will carry with them forever. It is a wonderfully challenging, yet rewarding career to have. I feel very fortunate. I love working with children.
