At Lancer Insurance as the Regional Manager I am responsible for conducting loss control visits to current and prospective transportation companies including trucking, motor coach, limousine, school bus, commercial driving schools and rental car agencies. I am proactively determining critical loss prevention priorities and developing effective risk management programs to mitigate conditions that have potential to produce damage, injury or financial loss. Additionally, I am tasked with organizing motor carrier safety meetings and department trainings on topics as requested, along with being involved in compiling, analyzing and interpreting claim services loss runs, system reports, and other ad hoc statistical data describing significant losses / loss trends. I drive robust relationship building with customers enabling them to improve loss history and frequency. I am also passionately monitoring compliance with standard operating procedures for exceptional loss prevention and risk management. • Represented company at various industry events on the local, regional and national levels while serving as a guest speaker. • Assessed safety awareness and educated customers on loss control policies and procedures. • Directed risk assessment of potential accounts to ensure company loss results stay better than industry averages. • Developed and implemented audit and control procedures for assigned areas by consulting with Operations, Underwriting and Risk Management departments.
