ABOUT KIM WAUGH
I specialise in coordinating complex community and youth projects in the built environment sector. As a Former Director of a Cannington Shaw Preservation Trust CIC, and an experienced Project Officer at PLACED, I thrive in coordinating complex projects, bringing together multiple stakeholders, priorities, and perspectives to deliver meaningful, well-managed outcomes. With a background in the built environment, particularly industrial heritage, museums, project work and engagement, I’ve worked across sectors to support engagement, amplify youth and community voices, and turn ambitious ideas into practical delivery. I’m known for my ability to communicate clearly, manage many moving parts across various projects, keeping projects on track and being reliable. I have spent years within the sector, where my experience spans museums, curating, visitor experience, community and youth engagement, youth programmes, administration, business operations and stakeholder relationships. I\'ve worked across a huge variety of transport, placemaking, planning and architectural projects. I’m motivated by collaboration and coordination, connecting people and places and amplifying voices, ensuring everyone has a say in changes happening in their area. My interests include regeneration, heritage, sustainability, GIS and placemaking. I’m currently working with PLACED, developing knowledge and community insights into the built environment. We believe that everyone is an expert when it comes to the places where they live, work or spend time. We bring collaboration and diversity to discussion around the built environment, creating opportunities for quality conversations and genuine engagement. PLACED support those who are traditionally under-represented in having their voices heard. We engage with a huge range of people, and create opportunities for diverse voices to be involved in conversations around our places and spaces.
