ABOUT KIM VAN DER WOERD

I am a proud member of the \'Namgis Nation and the founder of Reciprocal Consulting Inc.(RCI) —an Indigenous-owned and women-led research and evaluation firm rooted in relational accountability, equity, and transformative change. For almost three decades, I’ve worked at the intersection of Indigenous knowledge systems, community-led research, and social justice to advance a more ethical and inclusive approach to evaluation and policy.At RCI, we do more than measure impact—we reimagine it. We challenge colonial assumptions, honour community expertise, and co-create processes that are strengths-based and culturally grounded. Our work spans sectors—health, education, justice, philanthropy—and is guided by a fierce commitment to Indigenous sovereignty, reconciliation, and system change.
