ABOUT KIMBERLY SKELTON
As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor (LCMHCS) and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS) based in Asheville, NC, my mission is to foster psychospiritual growth, healing, and recovery through compassionate connection and mindful, heart-centered care. In 2017, I co-founded Widening Circles and currently hold the roles of CEO and psychotherapist. Practicing since 2005, I\'ve worked across diverse practice settings, including private practice, community mental health, school-based mental health, and addiction treatment programs. In 2013, alongside psychiatrist Ilona Csapo, MD, I established Willow Wellness and Recovery, a mindfulness-based opioid use disorder treatment program, where I served as clinical director until 2019. Since then, I\'ve redirected my focus toward integrating psychedelic medicine into our therapeutic approach at Widening Circles. Over the past seven years, I\'ve dedicated myself to ethically and responsibly incorporating psychedelic medicine into therapeutic practice, driven by a passion for creating meaningful and accessible integrative mental health treatment systems. In 2019, I completed MDMA-Assisted Therapy Training through Lykos Therapeutics PBC (formerly MAPS PBC) and the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS). I also served as a co-therapist in the Expanded Access program for MDMA-Assisted Therapy through MAPS and The Pearl Psychedelic Institute, providing innovative care for several participants. Furthermore, I received training in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy and Group Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy from the Psychedelic Research and Training Institute (PRATI) in Colorado. In addition to my responsibilities at Widening Circles, I contribute as one of the trainers at The Pearl Psychedelic Institute in Waynesville, NC, collaborating on the development of psychedelic medicine training programs for mental health professionals.
