ABOUT KIM SAWYER
Becoming successful\" is about turning obstacles into opportunities while \"being successful\" is about paying it forward. My expertise in building two successful startups, The Locator Services Group Ltd.(TLSG) and Connect to Success (C2S), provided me with unique insights into overcoming challenges and transforming obstacles into opportunities. This experience has proven invaluable in my board roles with the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City, the American University in Bulgaria, and a bank. I apply my legal acumen and global perspective to drive strategic initiatives and advance their missions. This aligns with my commitment to \"pay it forward,\" ensuring that my skills and experiences support the success of other institutions. As an entrepreneur, I founded and directed two award-winning organizations: TLSG in the US and C2S in Portugal. Known as a visionary and creator of sector-leading startups, my strengths include spotting niche opportunities, applying disruptive innovation, and developing proprietary technology.A niche financial services tech business, TLSG, realized hundreds of millions of dollars in unclaimed funds for Fortune 500 companies. Among the accolades TLSG received, it was twice acclaimed by Fortune magazine to be one of the 100 Fastest Growing Urban Businesses in America. In 2017, I negotiated the sale of TLSG to PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC (PwC), enabling PwC to expand its offerings and revenue opportunities. I remained a consultant for the transition in a product/business/technology development capacity. While leading TLSG, I brought entrepreneurship, corporate social responsibility, and gender equality to Portugal through forming and leading C2S, a non-profit that provided innovative mentorship, training, and business networking opportunities to women entrepreneurs. C2S served more than 1100 women. C2S was recognized by the European Diversity Awards as the Supplier Diversity & Inclusion Program of the Year. For my work developing women entrepreneurs, I received a special recognition award from the Trade Association of European Business Angels and a Stevie Award for Women in Business. I built a career that reflects \"becoming successful\" is about turning obstacles into opportunities and \"being successful\" is about \"paying it forward.\" From establishing TLSG and C2S to engaging in impactful board service, I strive to transform challenges into achievements and ensure my success benefits others.
