About Kim Huckabone
Kim has more than 25 years of experience in HR and enjoys supporting organizations to meet their strategic goals. She’s lead the HR Departments’ at numerous non-profits to include Community Change, America’s Promise Alliance, First Focus, Phoenix House, and Council for a Strong America, in addition to government contracting and for-profit organizations. She is also an active member of the DC SHRM chapter and has been an elected board member for many years. Serving as Chapter President, VP of Programs and Professional Development, and Director. She stays abreast of laws, regulations, and best practices through continuing education and is certified by HRCI as a Senior Professional in HR (SPHR) and also received her SHRM as a Senior Certified Professional (SCP). Kim is experienced with strategic leadership, coaching, training, recruiting, federal and state regulation compliance, benefits administration, employee relations, and employment law interpretation and labor relations. Kim is an enthusiastic team player with superb communication and organizational skills who is comfortable wearing multiple hats to get the job done; she can quickly assess complex situations and execute effective and efficient solutions. Most import loves mentoring, coaching, supporting, and developing staff and leadership in her role to best serve the organization.
