About Kim Hindery

I am a passionate advocate, strategic leader, and dedicated changemaker with over 19 years of experience advancing support for children with special healthcare needs and their families. As Executive Director of the Child Neurology Foundation (CNF), I lead national efforts to provide critical resources, education, and advocacy that improve the lives of children with neurologic conditions. My work centers on building high-impact partnerships, fostering collaboration, and driving transformative programs that shape the future of pediatric neurology care. At CNF, I oversee a growing network of 90+ advocacy organizations, uniting them in a shared mission to provide social and emotional support to families. I lead the development of innovative educational initiatives that empower both families and healthcare professionals, ensuring that comprehensive, patient-centered care remains a priority. Under my leadership, CNF has expanded its national reach, strengthened partnerships, and solidified its role as a premier resource in the child neurology community. With degrees in Early Childhood Education and Special Education from Saint Louis University and a Master’s in Administration from Xavier University, I bring expertise in program management, operational strategy, and organizational leadership. I am also SAFe6 POPM certified, demonstrating my ability to implement agile strategies for program growth. Beyond CNF, I am an active voice in national healthcare policy and patient advocacy. I have served on the FDA’s Patient Engagement Collaborative and currently hold a seat on the FDA’s Patient Engagement Advisory Committee. Additionally, I contribute to the AACPDM Community Council, sharing expertise in caring for children with complex neurologic conditions. My commitment to this work is deeply personal. My youngest daughter was diagnosed with LEMSPAD Syndrome, polymicrogyria, and schizencephaly, leading to cerebral palsy. This experience fuels my passion for ensuring that families navigating complex medical challenges have the knowledge, resources, and support they need. I am dedicated to driving systemic change so that families of children with neurologic conditions are seen, heard, and supported. Outside of my professional work, I enjoy reading, volunteering in my daughters’ schools, and spending quality time with my family and friends in Cincinnati, Ohio.
