HostNation is a refugee befriending charity which works in London, Manchester and Tyneside. I run the Manchester Hub. We recruit local volunteers and match them up for friendships with refugees and asylum seekers who want to practice their English and improve their wellbeing. Some beautiful friendships have happened over the last few years and I am proud to be part of it.

I have a portfolio career. It\'s all about people and bringing positivity and kindness into the world and supporting positive change.I am a leadership and transitions coach - I work with clients mainly in the cultural and public sectors - to support them through times of change and transition in their careers and wider lives.I run the Manchester hub of national charity HostNation, a charity which matches lonely refugees and asylum seekers with kind befrienders for socialising and practising English.I work in a lovely shop called Whittard, chatting to all kinds of diverse customers and selling delicious coffees, teas, hot chocolates and all things nice.
