Active Schools sends a strong message that physical activity at LA schools is a priority,” said Sam Kass, Executive Director of First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! campaign and Senior Policy Advisor for Nutrition. “By integrating physical activity into students’ lives before, during, and after school, LAUSD is helping young people build the foundation they need to grow up healthy.” The 2013 LAUSD Run/Walk and Move It Challenge is an annual event at Dodger Stadium where thousands of school kids spend an active day enjoying many sports challenges (including ping-pong) live music, dancing, food, games, prizes, and much more entertainment!
