ABOUT KIM FAWCETT
Kim is the founder and President of Awaken Your Soul wellness retreats. Integrating her own passion for wellness with a spiritual twist, Awaken, hosts weeklong spiritual wellness journeys aimed to help people heal and reconnect with their mind, body and soul. Leading Bridgeport Rescue Mission through a time of growth and expansion (20••••22) that saw the Mission nearly triple their community based services, Kim took the BRM annual operating revenue from just under $2M a year to more than $5.4M while spearheading a $12M capital campaign that will bring Coastal Connecticut a first of its kind full service community Care Center dedicated to caring for families struggling to navigate the challenges of poverty. Additionally, Kim is a trained and experienced EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System) Integrator. Utilizing the nationally recognized and proven EOS system of defining values, vision, goals and metrics to guide teams to unprecedented organizational success and growth. After taking a break from her early professional career to raise three small children and serve as a volunteer and community organizer, Kim, returned to the workplace in 2005 with an unprecedented victory in Connecticut’s 133rd state legislative seat.(Fairfield and Westport, CT) As a first time candidate, and young mother, Kim challenged a long time incumbent Republican to win a seat that had not changed parties in nearly 100 years. Elected to the legislature at 35 years old, Kim was one of the youngest serving women and one of the only legislators with school aged children. This uniquely positioned her to bring a strong voice to issues that impacted women, children and families and led her to take on leadership roles that impacted the health, well-being and protection of children. Kim’s political career ended after 10 years and five elections. In 2014, Kim took on her final political challenge by running for state Senate in Connecticut. While ultimately she was not elected to this seat, she was able to tap her skills and passion for people and redirect her efforts into a successful nonprofit leadership career. Kim is a free thinking follower of Jesus and all great spiritual traditions and believes it is an honor and calling to care for hurting people.(Matthew 25) She graduated in October 2023 from the Asian School of Development and Cross Cultural Studies with a graduate degree in Transformative Spirituality. She is also certified in the fields of guided immersive meditation and somatic trauma therapy.
