Kim is a partner with PwC’s National R&D Tax Credit practice, with over 25 years of professional experience. She has guided clients — from start-ups to Fortune 5 companies — through all stages of the research tax credit phases, helping to identify, calculate, document, and defend their research credits. She has extensive expertise in the high-technology industry, including the software, semiconductor, computer, crypto, fintech, and cloud computing fields- Develops precision-driven, technology-enabled processes by leveraging project management data, time tracking, sampling, surveys, etc. to strengthen the R&D credit defensibility while optimizing the user experience​- Navigates complex IRS and state exams including CAP, Fast Track, and Appeals to achieve successful outcomes – resulting from her deep knowledge of the controversy environment & key issues, relationships, and strategy​- Collaborated with the Silicon Valley Tax Directors Group and the IRS LB & I Executive team on the development of the ASC 730 R&D Directive and subsequent related technical issues​- Co-authored the BNA Tax Management Portfolio 556-3rd, Research and Development Expenditures​- Authored numerous PwC Technical Insights and is a regular speaker for Tax Executives Institute and the Silicon Valley Tax Directors Group
