As an Emergency Preparedness Specialist in Training and Education I am responsible for training internal staff and external partners on emergency preparedness topics. I developed and maintain the Internal Training and Education Plan for DOH staff, the Integrated Training and Exercise Plan and compile documents and participate in the annual Statewide Multi-Year Training and Exercise Planning Workshop. Additional responsibilities include data analytics using the agency Learning Management System, maintaining the OEPR training database for marketing training, managing the emergency preparedness outreach campaign and participating as a state representative at the Regional Learning Specialist meetings. Response team roles include a leadership role in the Strategic National Stockpile Reception, Storage and Staging warehouse, agency Duty Officer and lead worker in the Public Emergency Call Center. These roles require participation in training activities, associated exercises and on-call and deployment activity for actual events.
