ABOUT KILEY SHANKS
I work with entrepreneurs building breakout companies. After earning my MBA, I transitioned into private investing at Hill Capital, where I work with entrepreneurs building breakout companies. My role sits at the intersection of investment underwriting, ecosystem development, and firm-building. I evaluate investment opportunities through financial modeling and forecasting, analyzing capital structures and cash flow dynamics to understand how companies can translate a founder’s magnetic vision into a sustainable profitable company.Prior to Hill Capital, I founded and operated a nonprofit consulting business. Running a business firsthand gave me a deep appreciation for the operational realities entrepreneurs face - from managing cash flow and building systems to navigating the day-to-day decisions that determine whether a company scales or stalls. That experience continues to shape how I approach investing today, allowing me to connect with founders not just as an investor, but as someone who understands the operational challenges that arise as businesses grow. While my primary focus is identifying and supporting breakout businesses, I remain particularly interested in how private capital can expand access to opportunity and support resilient companies building long-term value.
