About Kiesha Preston

I’m a consultant and nationally recognized expert on gender-based violence, with a focus on housing access, economic justice, and survivor-centered systems change. My work centers the intersection of lived experience and policy, translating what people experience on the ground into strategies, narratives, and solutions that institutions can act on. I’ve contributed to national advocacy and policy efforts focused on housing protections for survivors, as well as broader work advancing economic justice. My background includes nonprofit development and communications, including with the National Network to End Domestic Violence, where I supported fundraising, donor engagement, and mission-driven strategy. My consulting work focuses on systems-level insight, storytelling, and program development, grounded in firsthand experience navigating the very systems I now help organizations improve. In addition to my consulting work, I’m a writer and the voice behind Casually Couture, a lifestyle and culture platform where I explore the deeper meaning behind everyday choices, identity, and how we come to understand ourselves. These two areas of my work are deeply connected. My policy and advocacy work shape how I understand the world. My writing is where I examine it. I’m interested in consulting, speaking, and collaborative opportunities focused on gender-based violence, housing, economic justice, and systems change.
