ABOUT KIERON HOOLIHAN

I started working on the tools as a scaffolder in Portsmouth Dockyard in 1982 until I was offered a job outside with Deborah Services Ltd. I worked on the tools for a few years and was then offered a job in Fawley Power Station with Cape Scaffolding. In 1992 I was approached by Lyndon Scaffolding also on the tools. In 1994 Lyndon Scaffolding offered me the role as Site Manager servicing the project requirements for access systems in support of the Oil Refinery Operations of Esso at Fawley, contract value £5.5m. 2003 I was engaged as a Site Superintendent to service all of the access requirements for the Esso Refinery Fawley. Finally taking over as Site Manager in 2008 contract value £5m. In 2010 I was Contracts Manager for Cape PLC covering areas such as Didcot, Aldermaston, Esso Refinery and Portsmouth Dockyard. Also up until closure in 2015 I was Project Manager for the QEC Aircraft Carrier in Portsmouth Dockyard, managing a team of over 36 scaffolders, providing all access requirements for the modular building of Hull Units. Contract value £50m. 2015 to June 2016 I was Transition Manager at Plymouth Dockyard, overseeing the transition of over 600 Management and workforce staff from two large companies to Actavo. This contract had a net value of £50m over 5 years. The transition was a great success during this time we were nominated for two prestigious Babcock Safety Awards. We won one, and we’re awarded runner up for the second. This was a phenomenal achievement considering we were only three months into the transition. October 2016 I worked at Exxon Mobil Fawley Refinery as a Scaffold Co-ordinator, overseeing maintenance and shutdown work. Working within tight schedules with an impeccable safety record, working closely with sub-contractors building a one site team environment.2019- Operations Manager for Kaefer in Portsmouth Dockyard, overseeing all operations. Awarded the BAE Systems Safety Coin and Maritime Services for supporting the fleet and excelling in safety. 2020 and currently working with DENHOLM in Portsmouth Dockyard as Operations Manager.I am an experienced and conscientious Manager, with a strong professional work ethos. I can communicate at every level, and I take great pride in having an excellent safety record throughout my Managing career. I have comprehensive knowledge of site working with a great understanding of customer requirements, and commercial considerations. I am an inspirational team builder and motivator with high expectations for everyone. I always deliver 100% always looking for solutions.
