About Kieran M.
Kieran Medina (they/he) is a producer, project manager, and creative consultant. He is a queer Latine trans man born in Mexico City and raised in the San Fernando Valley. Currently, Kieran is the Educational Programs Manager at Outfest. Prior, Kieran was Producer of Events for Sundance Collab, Sundance Institute’s digital education platform, where he curated and produced digital content, programs and events. As a side hustle, Kieran is a creative consultant, merging his background in film and gender studies to consult on projects with LGBTQ+ storylines. Kieran received his MA in Cinema & Media Studies from USC and a double BA in Multimedia Production and Gender Studies at CSU Northridge. Prior to his work at Outfest and Sundance Collab, Kieran has also worked for Bad Robot, Blumhouse TV and Sundance Institute’s New Frontier Labs program. Kieran is a tender masculinity ambassador and through his work strives to transform the media landscape into a more inclusive and accessible space for queer and transgender artists. In his free time, Kieran enjoys cooking, hiking, spending time with his partner and loved ones, going to concerts, camping and being a dog dad to three senior dogs.
