I spend my time engaging with the industry around the technologies and emerging market trends that will create the next wave of change and market opportunities in the industry. This deep research forms the basis of original thought leadership reports.Providing strategic advice to clients is another key aspect of my role. I am highly experienced at delivering tailored insights and recommendations to senior industry executives in areas such as payments, open finance, lending, and corporate/commercial banking. As well as being effective at communicating often complex ideas, this requires me to build and maintain very strong relationships.The ability to communicate these ideas and research findings in an engaging way is also critical. I’m an accomplished presenter, with wide experience of delivering insights to external audiences in keynote conference sessions, on panels, and in webinars. In addition, close collaboration with our commercial team is a key part of my role. I work closely with my colleagues to support all aspects of the flow from lead generation to client pitches. In addition, I regularly scope and then go on to deliver one-off custom research projects. These engagements include bespoke strategy projects, commissioned thought leadership (as marketing collateral) and speaking engagements. Examples from 2025 include a GTM assessment for a vendor, a detailed report and analysis of the future of European ecommerce, and delivering a keynote session at the 2025 AWS FSI Symposium Europe.I have also been heavily involved in product development at Celent. In 2021, I built a business case for a major investment in primary research to enrich our insights and customer work. This has since scaled to cover our banking, capital markets, wealth management, and risk teams. The project has been highly successful commercially, supporting multiple client engagements as well as driving some of the most downloaded research published across the firm.
