Led groundbreaking research focused on improving monocular depth estimation by enhancing robustness, particularly in dynamic environments. This work involved the development of novel techniques to mitigate catastrophic forgetting in deep learning models, which has been widely adopted and referenced in numerous high-impact papers in the field.Spearheaded a project exploring the use of wider baselines (increased separation between frames) to develop a high-precision depth estimation network, achieving significant improvements in edge accuracy. This innovation has contributed to advancements in depth estimation techniques.Collaborated closely with PhD and Master\'s students, providing guidance and technical support on their research projects, fostering an environment of cross-disciplinary knowledge exchange, and contributing to the development of emerging ideas.As a Teaching Assistant for Image and Video Processing (CS3IVP), Data Mining (CS3DM), and Machine Learning (CS4730_P1_A), I supported students in understanding core concepts and applying them in practical contexts. I led lab sessions, provided one-on-one tutoring, and assisted with programming assignments, helping students grasp topics like image processing, data mining techniques, and machine learning algorithms. I also gave feedback on assignments and exams, fostering a supportive and effective learning environment.Currently leading the development of RoASt3R, an application for robotics based on DUSt3R, and working on a self-supervised version to enhance its efficiency and scalability. This work aims to push the boundaries of autonomous systems by leveraging self-supervised learning approaches for real-time 3D reconstruction and object interaction in robotics.
