About Kiera Ford

As an educator at Sandusky City Schools, I engage students with culturally relevant pedagogy and curriculum that leverage technology and innovation. My goal is to help create mindful, diverse-driven, world citizens who can think critically and creatively. I have achieved 90-100% student passing percentage on district and state assessments, and fostered diversity, equity, and inclusiveness on campus through various programs and initiatives.With a Master\'s of Educational Leadership from University of North Texas and a Master of Education from Southern Methodist University, I have a strong foundation in education, teaching, and leadership. I have also been a professional learning coach at Teach For America for four years, where I led and supported teachers in developing their cultural and racial literacy, and applying anti-racist teaching and ideologies in their classrooms. I aspire to pivot into diversity, equity, and inclusion in the corporate realm, where I can use my skills and experience to help build inclusive and belonging frameworks, facilitate inclusivity training, and embed equity into the core of the organizations.
