ABOUT KIERA ROUNTREE
I am a PGY1 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Resident with a passion for improving outcomes in patients with chronic diseases through patient-centered, evidence-based care. My clinical interests include primary care, population health, women\'s health, and transitions of care, where I focus on optimizing medication regimens and improving access to care.Through my training, I have worked closely with interdisciplinary teams to support patients with complex medical conditions, provide medication counseling, and enhance continuity of care across healthcare settings. With a strong foundation as an experienced pharmacy technician and intern in both community and hospital settings, I value collaboration across all levels of the healthcare team, including technicians, interns, pharmacists, and providers. My personal mission is to advocate for individuals whose voices are often unheard within our healthcare system.As I continue my professional journey, I aspire to become a population health clinical pharmacist, where I can further champion patient-centered care and improve health outcomes through innovative care delivery models. Outside of my academic and professional pursuits, I enjoy baking, reading and traveling.
