I’ve always asked a lot of questions, and while refusing to accept the easy answer may have frustrated my 2nd grade teacher, it’s a big part of my success as a strategist. Looking at old problems from new vantage points lets me uncover compelling insights that can serve as the foundation for robust, living brands. You have to ask the right questions to discover truly original insights; otherwise, even a true answer can be dangerously wrong. Through years of qualitative research projects across categories as varied as spirits and medical devices, I have honed my curiosity to a fine edge. Now, I can slice through misleading information like a hot knife through butter. Of course, even the right answer isn’t worth much if you can’t explain it to someone else. Thankfully, my long experience as a writer, editor, student journalist, basketball blogger, and poet taught me how to find the perfect phrasing for every statement.
