About Alexander Kiefer
I am a double board-certified physician specializing in Interventional Spine and Pain Medicine. I focus on the clinical care of patients suffering with chronic pain through a balanced, multidisciplinary approach. The goal of my practice is to provide patients with the highest quality care of a major academic medical center delivered with the convenience and efficiency of a private practice. I completed my medical training at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital, Georgetown University Medical Center, and Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University. I have expertise in acute and chronic pain evaluation and diagnosis, medication management, responsible opioid management, treatment of chronic pain patients with addiction, fluoroscopic- and ultrasound-guided interventional techniques (including vertebral augmentation) and advanced implantable therapies (spinal cord stimulators and intrathecal pumps). I also participate in the training of the next generation of anesthesiologists and pain physicians as a faculty member in the Department of Anesthesiology at Georgetown University Hospital.
