Ashunti Blackwell | Music Artist | Marketing Specialist Over the past six years, I’ve built my career in delivery, automotive, and manufacturing—working my way up through challenges, setbacks, and ultimately, growth. Currently, I’m a Group Lead at Rivian Automotive, where I’ve been for the past three years. This role has been a game-changer for me—the first job where I’ve truly experienced career progression. I started at the bottom, faced obstacles (including a write-up), but kept pushing. Now, I lead teams and contribute to something bigger than myself.But beyond the automotive world, music has always been my passion. I’ve been writing since second grade and started recording in 2014, focusing on hip-hop, rap, and soul. Recently, I’ve also ventured into Christian rap, blending my love for music with my personal journey. Living in Champaign, IL, I had the chance to perform at live events, drop EPs, and connect with incredible artists in the scene. Those moments—doing what I love—are some of my biggest accomplishments.Now, I’m diving deeper into the engineering side of music. I know how to record and mix, and I’m actively looking for opportunities to network, collaborate, and offer my services at affordable rates—because I understand what it means to be a starving artist.
