ABOUT KIARASH ANVARI
Iranian-Canadian filmmaker Kiarash Anvari is the lead producer and editor of Summer With Hope, winner of the 2022 Karlovy Vary Grand Prix. As a producer/editor, he was nominated for Best Picture and Best Achievement in Editing at the 2018 Canadian Screen Awards for the 2017 TIFF hit Ava. His feature debut as writer/director, The Pot and The Oak (2017), premiered at Rotterdam and Jerusalem and won the Best Film at the 2019 Toronto Reelworld Film Festival. He is the co-founder of the Montreal production joint Sweet Delight Pictures and was nominated for the Emerging Producer Award by the Canadian Media Producers Association in 2017. He obtained his master\'s degree in film studies at the University of Provence Aix-Marseille I. In 2004, he was selected to participate in the Berlinale Talent Campus and the residency program for young artists at the Berlin Academy of Arts (Akademie der Künste).
