ABOUT KIARA ALLCOCK
I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Psychotherapy at the University of Guelph, building on my previous graduate training in Health Psychology from Carleton University. My academic and professional work reflects a strong commitment to mental health, with a focus on disability inclusion, workplace well-being, and trauma-informed practices. My research in occupational health psychology explores how leadership styles can support employees with disabilities, aiming to foster more inclusive and psychologically healthy work environments. This work continues to inform my broader interest in how organizational systems impact individual well-being. In my role as a Junior Consular Wellness Analyst at Global Affairs Canada, I support initiatives that promote the mental health of Canadian Consular Officers serving in high-stress, high-risk environments abroad. This experience has strengthened my understanding of psychological risk, trauma exposure, and strategies for maintaining well-being in complex professional settings. I am passionate about the intersection of mental health, workplace dynamics, and disability support. I’m always open to connecting with professionals in psychotherapy, mental health research, and related fields to share insights and collaborate on meaningful work.
