ABOUT KIANA DAMAVANDI
As a research fellow and teaching assistant at Queen\'s University, I am pursuing my master\'s degree in geological sciences, with a focus on geophysics and mineral exploration. I am passionate about applying my technical, professional, and interpersonal skills to solve complex geological problems and contribute to the advancement of the mining industry. I have co-authored two publications in reputable journals, where I used electrical resistivity tomography (ERT) to characterize subsurface prone to landslides and mass movements, using a developed algorithm named ResIPy. I have also taught and assisted undergraduate students in various courses related to earth systems engineering, physical characteristics of the earth, and mineralogy, enhancing their learning outcomes and academic performance. Additionally, I have completed multiple online courses and certifications in astronomy, deep learning, and Python, demonstrating my eagerness to learn new skills and expand my knowledge.
