ABOUT KIANA PARKES

As a first-generation, Jamaican-Filipino law student, Kiana is pursuing a Juris Doctor degree at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law, with an expected graduation date of May 2024. She holds a bachelor\'s degree in Psychology and a minor in Music Technology from UNLV, where she was on the Dean\'s Honors List. Kiana is currently a Legal Intern at the Las Vegas Raiders, where she supports the legal department with various tasks and projects related to contracts, compliance, and intellectual property. She previously interned at Greenberg Traurig, LLP, and the Sonia & Celina Sotomayor Judicial Internship Program, gaining valuable experience in litigation, corporate, and entertainment law. She also serves as the Business Editor for the Nevada Law Journal, the National Historian for the National Black Law Students Association, and the President of the William S. Boyd School of Law\'s Black Law Students Association. Kiana is passionate about music and entertainment and intends on pursuing a career in Entertainment Law in New York. She has a strong interest in the legal and business aspects of the music and entertainment industry and has developed skills in Logic Pro, ProTools, and Microsoft Office. She is also a valedictorian of her high school and a recipient of multiple scholarships and awards. Kiana is motivated by her desire to make a positive impact in her community and to inspire other students from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds to pursue their dreams.
