ABOUT KIANA BETTS

I am creative at heart and always on the hunt for my next spark of inspiration. Whether it be drafting a new marketing campaign or creating a new baking recipe in my kitchen, I love to challenge my thinking to come up with a new idea or approach. Growing up, I was a semi-professional dancer. My creativity flowed through my dancing, but I also learned to persevere. Dancing on the world stage takes confidence and resilience. I continue to hold these values in my work. I take pride in taking on challenging projects, especially if they are outside my comfort zone. I know how to push myself to get things done and achieve results. Anyone who’s met me in a professional setting is shocked to learn I am an introvert (my friends and family less so). I first learned to assert myself when I was a host at a busy restaurant and had to manage customer expectations. Then, in university, I was a Teacher’s Assistant and regularly taught students 10 years my senior who were often surprised by the extent of my knowledge. Years of stepping out of my comfort zone taught me how to assert myself and hold a room with confidence. This has led to working on cross functional teams ranging from owners to executives to junior staff. I am comfortable engaging with a variety of stakeholders and sharing a clear vision.
