ABOUT KHUSHI MANN

I am an emerging environmental scientist dedicated to addressing the challenges of climate change. I am Currently enrolled in the MSc Climate Change: Environment, Science, and Policy (Science pathway) programme at King’s College London. Previously, I completed a Bachelor\'s in Geography (Honours degree) from the University of Delhi with first division, where I also served as President of the Department of Geography. My research experience includes a significant internship at the Indian Institute of Technology, Indore, where I published work in Environmental Monitoring and Assessment, focusing on climate vulnerability in Madhya Pradesh. This publication highlights my ability to analyze complex socio-economic data and contribute valuable insights to the field of environmental science. In addition to research, I have a strong commitment to community engagement as well. I have volunteered for various organisations such as Bhumi NGO to educate students about environmental conservation and YLAC where my role focused on youth activism. My research interests include vulnerability to climate change, effects and mitigation of climate change due to thermokarst and permafrost melting in boreal forests, biodiversity conservation, the impact of climate change on boreal flora and fauna, the role of carbon sequestration in boreal forests and long-term monitoring of climate impacts. My achievements have been recognized with the Vice-Chancellor\'s Scholarship Award at King\'s College London, reflecting the potential for impactful contributions to climate science and environmental sustainability.
