As a BAM (Becoming A Man) Youth Specialist at Youth Guidance, I serve as a mentor, role model, and advocate for young men in grades 6–12. My primary role is to facilitate weekly group sessions focused on social-emotional learning, character development, and life skills, grounded in BAM’s six core values: integrity, accountability, self-determination, positive anger expression, visionary goal-setting, and respect for womanhood. I work closely with school staff, families, and community partners to support students\' personal growth, academic achievement, and long-term success. This role requires deep empathy, cultural competency, and a commitment to empowering young men to overcome systemic challenges and become positive, purpose-driven members of their communities.
