ABOUT KHRISTINA H. HADDAD
As a professor of political theory, I am interested in theories of action as well as an account of what political theorists do in their reading, thinking, and writing processes. My goal is to make these actual processes explicit for students. Seeing political theory as a practice in imagining possible political futures, I teach them how to theorize and support the development of original student-generated political visions. My current work focuses on note-taking practices, including intellectual journals such as commonplace books, where the practice of note-taking is understood as the first generative intellectual moment in the process of doing theory. As a normative political theorist, I facilitate student-generated work on pre-political and political lessons. This collective work takes place in political theory courses and is shared with the community via Moravian University’s award-winning student newspaper, The Comenian.
