Parent Champions are trained local volunteers who support other parents and carers by:Sharing information about local services (like childcare, early education, and support groups).Encouraging families—especially those with young children—to access services they might not know about.Providing one-to-one support through befriending and helping parents feel confident and connected.Representing parent voices in local planning and decision-making.Hosting events like coffee mornings and community activities.They are part of the LEAP (Lambeth Early Action Partnership) and receive training, supervision, and DBS checks. Many go on to become Digital Champions, Befrienders, or Parent Reps.
