ABOUT KHATEREH KHORSANDI
Dr. Khatereh Khorsandi is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Cell Enhancement and Technologies for Immunotherapy (CETI) Program, part of the Center for Cancer and Immunology Research (CCIR) at Children\'s National Hospital. She has a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Tehran and over 10 years of experience as an assistant professor and head of the Department of Photodynamic at the Medical Laser Research Center, ACECR, Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) branch.Recently she recognized as the world’s top 2% of scientists. Her research interests include photodynamic therapy, photobiomodulation, photodynamic inactivation, cancer treatment, and wound healing. She is skilled in cancer therapeutics. She is a member of the American Association for Cancer Research and a recipient of multiple young scientist fellowships from prestigious scientific communities, such as IUBMB, FAOBMB, IUPAB, ESP, and Sigma. She is passionate about advancing the field of cancer immunotherapy specifically CART-Cell therapy for pediatric brain tumor and collaborating with other researchers across the globe.
