About Khanh Ken Vo

I’m a first-generation Vietnamese American, and my journey is rooted in the sacrifices my parents made when they immigrated to the United States to give me a better future. Inspired by their hard work and resilience, I’m committed to making the most of every opportunity that comes my way.Currently, I’m a Senior serving as the Student Body Vice President at Hunter High School, with 4 years of experience in student government, starting as Freshman and Sophomore Historian, to Student Body Communications. I’m also proud to be a High Honor Roll student, balancing academics with involvement in clubs like FBLA, DECA, MESA, and SkillsUSA. In FBLA, I’ve had the chance to compete and place at the regional and state levels, even qualifying for nationals.Beyond school, I play high school tennis and work part-time as a photographer, which has sparked a passion for graphic design. I’ve built skills in programs like Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign, and Rush. These experiences have taught me how to manage my time, lead by example, and keep pushing forward.I’m always looking to connect with others who value hard work, creativity, and growth. My goal is to honor my family’s sacrifices by making a positive impact wherever I go.

   As a teenage food server in a retirement community, I wear many hats, working as a server, runner, and sometimes host. My role involves more than just serving meals, it’s about creating a welcoming and respectful environment for residents. Working with older adults has taught me the importance of patience, kindness, and understanding. I’ve built meaningful connections with residents, learning from their stories and experiences, and it’s been rewarding to help make their day a bit brighter. This role has strengthened my communication and empathy skills, and I’m grateful for the chance to give back in such a personal way.
