As a Settlement Counsellor at ACCT, I provide one-on-one and group support to help newcomers, refugees, and immigrants integrate successfully into Canadian society. Workshops & Community Education: Plan and facilitate group workshops on topics such as Canadian laws, financial literacy, civic engagement, and tenant rights. Community Outreach & Engagement: Build relationships with service providers, promote programs in newcomer communities, and collaborate with stakeholders to enhance service accessibility. Data & Reporting: Maintain detailed client records in iCARE, OCMS, and internal databases, ensuring accurate reporting and program evaluation.Passionate about community empowerment and social impact, I am committed to advocating for equitable access to services and fostering a sense of belonging for all newcomers.
