ABOUT KHALIF ADAN

Khalif is part of Deloitte’s Financial Investors Tax business in the UK. He is based in the London office and specialises in funds tax, credit and restructuring tax. Credit and Restructuring Tax - Khalif is active in the private credit sector where he provides tax advice across the spectrum of private credit, ranging from credit fund formation to loan origination, debt portfolio acquisition and refinancing. He also retains a broader focus on restructuring transactions where he supports debt funds and borrowers on complex debt restructurings, including advising special situations investors who are looking to invest capital in the restructuring space. Funds Tax- Khalif works with GPs advising them on the structuring, establishment and marketing of private funds across a range of asset classes (hedge, real estate, private equity, fund of fund and private credit) including providing guidance on their house and remuneration structures. He advises LPs on their primary investments in funds and co-investment opportunities. Khalif secondaries experience ranges from GP-led continuation fund transactions and LP portfolio sales to liquidity transactions such as preferred equity deals and NAV financings.
