Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver BAU network support for a client environment, handling incidents, requests, and planned changes across routing, switching, firewalling, and connectivity services.Monitor network health and performance using monitoring platforms; investigate alerts, isolate root cause, and implement permanent fixes to reduce repeat incidents.Troubleshoot complex connectivity issues (LAN/WAN/VPN/DNS/DHCP) using structured diagnostics, packet captures, and vendor best practices.Support and maintain security controls (firewalls, VPNs, ACLs, NAT, segmentation), ensuring access changes follow approvals and change-management processes.Implement network changes during maintenance windows (rule updates, routing adjustments, interface/VLAN changes), completing pre/post checks and evidence capture.Carry out device patching and lifecycle maintenance (firmware/OS upgrades), including risk assessment, rollback planning, and post-upgrade validation.Maintain high-quality documentation: network diagrams, implementation notes, runbooks, and ticket updates aligned to SLA/ITIL workflows.Liaise with vendors/3rd parties for escalations and RCAs, providing logs, outputs, and clear impact statements to speed resolution.
