ABOUT KHALID MALIK

As someone who did his PhD in 3½ years on a part-time basis while in full-employment, I have excellent time management skills. I believe strongly in life-long development as well as continuously upgrading my employment skills as required. As a former manager, I am responsible and persuasive. I have been involved with two collaborative research projects, with Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries and Food (now DEFRA) and DuPont respectively, where I further sharpened my team working skills. I have completed a three-year project in two years I am used to meeting tight deadlines, liaising with clients and working under pressure. Clear communication and ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience have been enhanced by collaborating with non-specialists. My lecturing/tutoring duties allowed me to enhance my presentation and organisation skills. As well as my hard-skills in the sciences, I have experience of delivering soft-skills training both in the academic and the corporate environment. I was also the second marker for the MBA projects when submitted for examination and an Academic Statistical Consultant for the Management Centre, Bradford University.
