ABOUT KHALID KHEIRALLAH

Public health leader and epidemiologist with more than two decades of experience advancing health systems resilience and capacity in the Eastern Mediterranean Region and internationally. Throughout my career, I have designed and implemented evidence-based strategies for epidemic preparedness, response, and recovery, integrating One Health principles to address zoonotic and refugee health challenges. I have led multidisciplinary teams across academic and humanitarian settings, modernizing curricula and building research capacity at Jordan University of Science and Technology and partner institutions. My portfolio includes directing cross-border surveillance initiatives, spearheading emergency preparedness frameworks adopted by ministries of health, and coordinating large‑scale public health projects funded by WHO, CDC, FAO, World Bank, USAID, and other multilateral organizations. I am proficient in translating complex data into actionable policies and training programs, fostering partnerships that bridge academia, government, and the NGO sector. Fluent in English and Arabic, I bring cultural agility to stakeholder engagement, mentoring, and knowledge transfer across diverse environments. Driven by a commitment to advancing equitable health outcomes and strengthening systems in fragile contexts, I continue to champion collaborative approaches to public health that empower communities and promote resilience at local, regional, and global levels.
