As a current student at the University of California, Berkeley, and an active college athlete, my interest in the healthcare field was sparked by a Sports Medicine class I took in high school. This class introduced me to the basics of injury prevention, nutrition, and emergency procedures like CPR and AED use, which have been invaluable in my athletic endeavors and beyond.This early exposure has guided my academic journey toward becoming a Registered Nurse. Balancing my role as an athlete with my rigorous academic schedule at Berkeley has not only reinforced my passion for sports medicine but has also highlighted the critical role of medical professionals in sports and healthcare.Pursuing a career as a Nurse combines my interests in medicine and sports, allowing me to support athletes and patients with specialized care.
